Mindfulness Meditation Group

The Mindfulness Meditation Group meets every Tuesday at 12:15-1:00 pm at 3110 Tang Center on campus. All campus-affiliated people are welcome to join us on a drop-in basis, no registration or meditation experience necessary. We start with a short reading on meditation practice, followed by 30 minutes of silent sitting, and end with a brief discussion period.

Free rapid HIV antibody testing

Testing is free and anonymous with results provided in 30 minutes.

Testing takes place Fridays 12-3pm once a month in the Health Promotion unit, 2nd floor Tang Center

The Sexual Health Education Program's Sexpert Education Clinic conducts rapid HIV antibody testing for Cal students and community members. Testing method is a blood-based finger prick test.

A Generation Under Pressure: Talking Mental Health at Berkeley

Please join us for an upcoming event to discuss mental health issues on the UC Berkeley campus. The event features a panel discussion with campus leaders, including UC Berkeley Chancellor Carol Christ; Guy Nicolette, Assistant Vice Chancellor for University Health Services; and Sam Ku, Internal Director of the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) Mental Health Commission.


Professor Richard Scheffler, professor of Public Health and Public Policy, will review preliminary results from a forthcoming study documenting the rise of anxiety disorders on college campuses. A reception will follow with opportunities to connect with Berkeley students, mental health professionals, and campus administrators.

Dinner from Platanos! Description: Withholding pertinent information about non-heteronormative sexual practices jeopardizes LGBTQ+ people's sexual health. This compounds for lesbians and queer women* who face significantly lower rates of accessing sexual and reproductive health care than heterosexual women. Join us for a presentation and discussion on understanding and owning our bodies, accessing preventative care, and safer sex practices.
